White doves bursting into flight at the close of the wedding ceremony is a perfect expression of the matrimonial joy and provides a wondrous surprise for family and friends.
Often the bridal couple will release a pair of doves together, either
by hand or from a
basket. The two doves fly off together wing-tip to
wing-tip, it feels so romantic. Then we let off one to two dozen more
birds creating the feeling of celebration. This makes for a great conclusion
to both church and garden weddings.
This very old tradition of wedding doves is shared by diverse cultures from around the world.
A handler, in appropriate attire, will assist in arranging your dove release.
